ELIS: Final Four Dates Of KOTIPELTO / CHRIS CAFFERY Tour Cancelled
April 26, 2007According to a posting on ELIS' official web site, the remaining dates on the group's European tour with KOTIPELTO and CHRIS CAFFERY have been canceled! "We had no influence on this decision and we're sorry that the tour will not be continued anymore!" the Liechtenstein-based gothic metal band writes. The affected dates are as follows:
Apr. 26 - Caracol - Madrid, Spain
Apr. 27 - Mephisto - Barcelona, Spain
Apr. 28 - Sala Jam - Bergara, Spain
Apr. 30 - Roxy - Flensburg, Germany
ELIS — whose lead singer, Sabine Dünser, suffered a cerebral hemorrhage on July 7, 2006 during rehearsal and passed away the following day in hospital — will support the Frankfurt, Germany-based gothic rockers ASP on the second leg of their "Requiembryo" tour this fall.
ELIS's latest album, "Griefshire", was released in Europe on November 24, 2006 via Napalm Records (the U.S. received the album on January 16). The recordings for the CD were completed prior to the death of Dünser, who came up with the original concept for the album.
Dünser was born June 27, 1977 and joined ELIS, then still known as ERBEN DER SCHOPFUNG, in 2001.
The follow-up to 2004's "Dark Clouds in a Perfect Sky", "Griefshire" was completed at Mastersound Studios in Stuttgart with producer Alexander Krull (ATROCITY, LEAVES' EYES).
